"Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, died on the Cross to save mankind. By His suffering, death, and resurrection, the Son of God instituted the Seven Sacraments of Salvation, one of which is Matrimony. The Sacrament of Matrimony is essential to God's Plan of Salvation, and ALL CATHOLICS MUST respect, defend, and live by this great Sacrament of Christ's love. No earthly power -- no king, president, parliament, congress, judge, no government -- has the authority to change or undermine marriage. Related to defending marriage, ALL CATHOLICS MUST oppose any government attempt to legalize homosexual unions. It is gravely unfortunate, but certain El Paso City Council members have been obstinate in imposing a homosexual agenda on our city. Insofar as it is in their power, they have been seeking to legalize homosexual unions. Whether they realize it or not, their actions are objectively immoral and constitute a wicked attack upon marriage. It should be obvious to ALL CATHOLICS what our duty is with respect to these members of City Council. If you are a registered voter, make sure you fulfill your CATHOLIC DUTY. If you are a registered voter, make sure you take the necessary step NOW to defend marriage and oppose those elected officials who are pushing for the social acceptance of homosexual unions, something gravely harmful to the common good."

It can be argued that the Novus Ordo is more traditional, as it points back to ante-nicene times (1st and 2nd centuries)." RorySPQR
This is our response to the comment by RorySPQR; We strongly recommend that you read and educate yourself more on this subject. The subject of "antiquarianism" comes from Pope Pius XII's encyclical "Mediator Dei" which is primarily about the liturgy and makes for wonderful reading. Here is a passage from it; It is section 62: "62. Assuredly it is a wise and most laudable thing to return in spirit and affection to the sources of the sacred liturgy. (continued in # 2)
# 2-- For research in this field of study, by tracing it back to its origins, contributes valuable assistance towards a more thorough and careful investigation of the significance of feast-days, and of the meaning of the texts and sacred ceremonies employed on their occasion. But it is neither wise nor laudable to reduce everything to antiquity by every possible device. # 4-- It is ironic that the Pope on 11/20/47 proclaimed that one would be straying from the straight path if the altar were made into a table, or if black vestments were excluded, or if statues and images were removed, or if the Crucifix were changed. But that is exactly what happened 20 years later...Section 64 mentions "antiquarianism" by name and calls it "senseless" and a source of "grievous harm to souls."
