I am not in the Diocese of Charleston. I just wanted to save a copy of the Vatican survey and to have the links to read the preparations for the survey.

Diocese of Charleston consultation of the faithful
Pope Francis has called for a Synod of Bishops on the family in October 2014 on "The Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of Evangelization." To prepare for this, the Vatican has requested that the world's bishops provide an assessment of Catholics' attitudes toward relevant church teachings.
In order to achieve this goal, the Holy See issued a preparatory document. Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone invites the faithful of South Carolina to take part in the questionnaire which was designed to help determine their response to the promotion and acceptance of Catholic teachings on marriage and the family, and cultural and social challenges to those teachings.
A summary of the data will be presented to the bishops' conferences for consideration by the synod. It is important to note, however, that this is an effort to gather data and not commentary. The extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the family will be based on Catholic doctrine and not public opinion. Another synod will follow in 2015 to address the pastoral care of families.
The Vatican issued a preparatory document that you are encouraged to read before participating in the survey by clicking on the link: "Pastoral Challenges to the Family in the Context of Evangelization."
After reading the document,or reflecting on the teachings in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1601-1658 and 2331-2391), you are invited to carefully respond to any or all of the questions.
