Everyone who was there at SOLT and had ministries before the 'new' rules were grandfathered in, not just Father Corapi, as you made it sound to me. He did not take a vow of poverty and you ASSUME that he made a promise of poverty.You do not know that and I do not believe that it is true. As a matter of fact you ASSUME a lot.Do you know what the sin of 'detraction' is? And do you realize that it is just as bad as the sin of calumny? These discussions including SOLT's statement seem like very thin ice skating very close to this sin to me, regardless of which of these sins is referred to , saying something true or saying something false that damages someone's reputation that is built up over many years====not to mention the harm done to the faithful! I, for one, live in a glass house! SOLT's statement seemed very vindicttive to me as opposed to something to 'benefit' the faithful as they claimed. In my opinion their statement sounded more like an article better fit for a story out of 'True Confessions', (a sleazy magazine of sexual stories in my mother's time) than a statement from the head of a religious order. Yet a priest like Fr. Bob Pierson, who is an OPENLY active homosexual, can walk around with faculties intact and with impunity. Have you ever done a story on him or  St john's Abbey, where Fr. Bob lives, Al Kresta or  Jimmy Akin.?

I wish with ALL of my heart that one of you would do a story on these things. This abbey runs a high school, a seminary, a college and a 'guesthouse' for retreats and conferences and it has over 2,000 acres!  This abbey has over 23 monks or priests who have credible sex abuse cases against them!....and...What could they possibly need 2000 acres for?!  Many of the retreats are LGBT friendly as is Fr, Bob, who fully supports their agendas! What have THEY(those at the abbey) done for the Church lately? Do a story on these things PLEASE!
